Doge Consciousness

Good afternoon,

If you are a long-time Dogecoin supporter you may have heard the term “Doge Consciousness”. If you have ever attended a Decentralized Dance Party I am certain you have heard this term. But what exactly is Doge Consciousness?

In order to understand Doge consciousness we must take a look at what consciousness means.

According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of consciousness is the following: The quality or state of being aware especially of something within oneself.

If we apply this to Dogecoin then Doge consciousness may be interpreted as the quality or state of being aware of what Dogecoin is and stands for. But what does this mean and why is it important?

If someone was to say they are Doge conscious they may be stating that they are aware that Dogecoin is a decentralized digital medium of exchange that is built on the foundation of doing only good every day. In turn, they may try to incorporate that guiding principle into their everyday life.

Now let’s take this a step further, imagine a world where the United States dollar is in a state where it is not in the best interest of the people to use it anymore. A world where alternative forms of currencies exist with a new technology that has been introduced.

What would happen if a currency with a dog on it whose whole foundation is based around doing only good every day was now available to the global public? What if this dog coin provided real-life utility and had the opportunity to make life better for every human being? What would the ripple effect of this be? I guess that question is still to be answered but I would like to believe that we may see more people doing good in a world that is currently very polarized and dark.

I believe many shibe’s within the community are Doge conscious and are perfect examples of what doge consciousness is. This may be the reason why the community is still strong today even through the ups and downs within the community and the price swings.

When you build a community based on doing only good every day you will naturally attract like-minded individuals. This is why it is important to never lose sight of what Dogecoin stands for regardless of the price of the coin.
